Bello Cucina ~ new restaurant in St. Joseph, MN

A new restaurant opened in St. Joe this week.  They serve authentic Italian food.  The location has been sitting empty for several years – and actually never was occupied by a restaurant, even though it was built for one.  The food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Truly wonderul.  We are so happy to have them in St. Joe and hope they have much success.

Photos below – mozarella stuffed breadsticks with the most ridicously delicious marinara sauce, lobster augratin with flat bread, tiramasu cheesecake

Vintage Tea Fund Raiser for Some Place Safe, Alexandria MN

Judy’s sister Susie is an advocate at a domestic violence shelter in Alec.  This is a yearly event.  Susie asked if I would be willing to come up and take photos of the tables, guests, etc.  Each table is “sponsored” by someone.  That person then invites their friends to the Tea.  Each person decorates their own table.  I was so excited to take photos.  I just loved making little vignettes of the decorations they brought in.  I made sure to get one really great photo of each table.  I am making thank you cards for SOME PLACE SAFE to send out to each table sponsor – they will get a card with a lovely photo of their table.  Some of the ladies used vintage china…one used duct tape.  Lots of creativity.  They also had a vintage style show where the girls/ladies wore clothing – they did each decade from 1920 to 1970.  The whole day was really fun and I was so happy that I could help them out.

This was my favorite dress from the style show.

Kalahari Foods

I had the pleasure of going to the home of Isaac and Rosemond Owen’s home to take photos for them.  They are having a web site built for their a catering business.  It is called Kalahari Foods; their specialty is food from Ghana, Africa, which is where they are from.  I didn’t know what to expect…it was so much fun, i am really happy with the photos I got, especially since I really had never taken photos of food before; except for cupcakes and birthday cake.  Rosemond’s 3 daughters were so lovely and polite, and Rosemond….WOW, what a fabulous woman.  Top Notch.  Meeting her was the very best part!

These are some of the photos i took.

Her daughter makes Peanut Brizzle; this is the brochure i designed for them.  The text is by Judy Keefe, my wonderful friend who is a very gifted writer.  She is who suggested Rosemond call me to see if I would be interested in taking food photos.
