On Sunday, my mom’s birthday, we drove to Tonto Natural Bridge. It is about 125 miles from Phoenix. It was chilly up there, but so beautiful. It is kind of an outdoor cave. The water running over the rocks, mixing with the more than 130 minerals in the variety of rocks creates these gorgeous “growing” rock formations. The variety of rocks was amazing. The rock, vegetation, etc changed so much along the drive up. We would pass an area with thousands of saguaro cacti; and a little while later – no saguaro, but green (and changing color) trees. The park was gorgeous. We walked to a lot of different areas; and i of course, took lots of photos.
